Here is a
message from Derek Holmes, President of Weybridge Rowing Club, who
looks forward to welcoming members and their families to his
gathering on Sunday 9th July.
I would like to take this opportunity to promote our juniors at the club. At Weybridge we are privileged to have a dedicated team of coaches and supporters, which includes many Mums and Dads.
Our main aim is for people to enjoy themselves on the river. This priority is paying off as more and more youngsters are joining the club. However this influx of new young members has put a strain on resources and means we are desperately short of boats and equipment. Unfortunately we have had to turn people away because we don't have boats to accommodate everyone.
So with this in mind I have decided to launch an appeal to raise funds to help us buy a quad scull and two double sculls.
